The story before The Pit

The beginnings with
Spacelab and then Arc-En-Ciel
After playing with his sister Brigitte on the guitar and with friends in a band called Spacelab for a while in 1977, Pit founded Arc-En-Ciel with Marcel on drums, Gérald and then Stéphane on bass guitar and Jean-Luc on guitar.
Already fully passionate and focused on keyboards, Pit played some actually very old keyboards like a Logan String, a MS-20 Korg synthesizer and an organ with two keyboards.
Arc-En-Ciel had some nice live gigs in pretty places in Valais. But the time had come to do something more.

The Larsen years
The band then became Larsen. Pit swapped his keyboards for great machines like a Roland JX-3P - Jupiter 8 - D-50 - Ensoniq Mirage sampler - SQ-80, and a beautiful Yamaha CP-80 electric grand piano which he still plays today. And of course a lot of effects have been added to allow him to discover many new sounds.
With Larsen, the band had great moments, playing covers of bands like The Beatles, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Queen, Pink Floyd, Europe, Van Halen and many more...
Larsen then started composing his own songs, and played some live gigs in the Valais region of Switzerland.

The Larsen's legacy
Some members of Larsen changed during these years, with new drummer Philippe and then Raphy(†) , new guitarist François and then Christophe, and new bassist Christophe(†).
Thomas joined the band with his great voice, and replaced Pit on vocals. Larsen then decided to record some of the songs they had written. They chose Taurus Studio in Geneva for this adventure, with Claude as fabulous engineer.
Not long after these recordings, Larsen split up. Pit was the only permanent member of Larsen until the end of the story, in the late 80's.
Let's listen to some of the songs written and composed by Larsen... 'hope you like them !
